Session Overview

Information coming soon!

This panel is meant to be a reflective yet inspiring conversation on cultivating intergenerational environmental consciousness with the Green Generation Initiative as a case study.

The Green Generation Initiative (GGI), is a youth-led organization that is fostering and building an environmentally conscious generation in young people through tree-growing initiatives and the Eco-clubs program. Not only that, GGI works to promote youth and community climate resilience initiatives through a collaborative and multisectoral approach. With that in mind, this fire chat will delve deeper into the conversation on youth-led action and collaboration on shaping the climate discourses, with emphasis on intergenerational and cross-sectoral collaboration to cultivate a green generation. Also, on the backdrop of the adaption of the Pact of the Future and the Declaration on Future Generations, it is key to explore how to sustain intergenerational action for the sake of present and future generations.  This panel will feature youth leaders and stakeholders who are at the heart of environmental conservation and action, and who will share insights from their experiences on how to nurture environmentally conscious generations. By spotlighting inspiring and innovative youth-led projects, the session will pave the way for intergenerational collaboration and mobilize supporting and upscaling ongoing initiatives.
