Extreme Hangout • COP29, Baku

Nico Nicholas

I have an insatiable appetite for creative, impactful, sustainable business ideas - Trees4Travel, Trees4Events, and Zeero are the culmination of all my passion and life experiences.

I have spent the last three years, creating, and building an environmental tech ‘business for good’, educating and supporting the travel and events industries and their clients, in delivering sustainability and positive change. Enabling them to transform and cultivate a regenerative approach to their activities by measuring, managing, and mitigating emissions, using sophisticated technology to help understand and reduce emissions where possible but then be able to make impactful affordable climate contributions in a quick and easy way. A hybrid process of restoring forests, biodiversity, supporting communities, whilst simultaneously backing up every tree by investing into clean energy projects and innovations, focusing on 15 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.I believe in a holistic approach to sustainability - we cannot fight the battle against our environmental and social challenges on our own, I strive for industry collaboration and transformative partnerships that focus on action to scale up solutions. I am driven by purpose, and a strong duty to give back, whilst supporting an industry that I love, with a clear understanding of the imperative to take responsibility, inspire action and help bring about the changes required for a more equitable and sustainable future.
