Monomita is Director of Climate Change Programmes at the British Council.
Monomita is based in London and is the Climate Programmes Lead at the British Council. She leads and coordinates global climate related programme work across Education and Culture. At COP26, COP27 and COP28 she worked with partners to share innovative solutions to the climate crisis. She is building on this legacy and momentum for COP29 as well as focussing on new initiatives. She has a background in Education. Her experience includes working as a Senior Teacher in English Language Teaching (ELT); developing and leading global youth and community programmes and delivering training across the world as an intercultural facilitator to address global issues working with NGOs and Universities.
