Allysin is Chief Sustainability Officer @ Baker Hughes.
"I lead the sustainability program for Baker Hughes, an energy technology company which takes energy forward every day. The lead strategic objective of our program is to reach net zero by 2050 by driving sustainable operations, supporting commercial energy transition solutions for customers, and ensuring market creation for these solutions via strategic stakeholder engagement and policy development.
Before joining Baker Hughes, I served as the executive director of the American Geosciences Institute and have held a number of academic, policy and senior government positions, including teaching at Georgetown University, working for the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and serving as the associate director of strategic engagement of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) at the U.S. Department of the Interior. I began my career as a geoscientist for ExxonMobil.
I am passionate about meeting challenges of energy transition through a collaborative and innovative approach towards sustainability.
I hold a bachelor’s degrees in geology and music from the University of Northern Iowa, and a master’s degree in geology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis."
