Katie Rood

Kia ora, I'm Katie Rood, known as Roodie in most football circles.

I'm currently out injured after an ACL rupture and meniscus repair.

My football career involves
- Lincoln Ladies, WSL, 2012
- U20 Women's World Cup, Japan, 2012
- Juventus Women, Serie A Winners, 2018
- Bristol City WSL 2018
- Lewes FC, Women's Championship, 2019-2021
- Southampton FC, Winning promotion to the Championship 2022
- Heart of Midlothion, 4th place in the Scottish Women's Premier League 2023
- 15 caps and 5 goals for The New Zealand team.

Alongside football I am passionate about the environment, climate/social justice, equality and animal rights.

Current Activity:

- Football For Future as a Player Champion to shift the culture of Football in the UK to be more sustainable.

- Champions For Earth - an organisation striving to give athletes a platform to speak out and act on climate and environmental concerns.

- BBC World Service Radio - Women's World Cup coverage and Premier League punditry.

- UNLOCKED Women's Sports Trust Alumni, unlocking the potential of women's sport.
